Six different lens options with extended lens shift capabilities further enhance the units flexibility, providing the custom specialist a wide range of unit positioning choices in difficult-to-install rooms. Vidikrons all-digital Imagix video processing is integrated into the projector chassis for advanced video scaling and image quality. This design provides straight line digital connections from source to light engine. The multiple aspect ratio control includes Vidikrons own IntelliWide mode for viewing standard video formats in widescreen with minimal loss of image quality. Discrete IR and RS-232 control make installation easy, while discrete source and aspect ratio selection accommodate many automation...

HDBlog.net: And their reasoning seems pretty solid. Now that the FCC’s ruling mandating the broadcast flag has been struck down, content providers will start looking for other ways to restrict consumers’ rights in the name of protecting content. My concern is that not only will Congress pass a law that brings back the broadcast flag, but they’ll strengthen it in some way. Now I don’t know how they’d do that, but organizations such as the MPAA probably do.

Home Theater Forum - 1080p DLP's around the corner: If sales of front projectors continue to grow at their current rate then we will definitely see 1080p FPs selling for under $5,000 well before the end of the decade. After all, there are already 1080p RPTVs priced below $5,000 today! This means if they could sell as many FPs, a manufacturer could make just as much profit by selling a 1080p FP for under $2,000.
