Policani's Digital Media Blog: BlueTights.net has posted the ninth Video Blog from Superman Returns director Bryan Singer. Bryan takes us into a screening room in Sydney where he's looking over the digital footage shot in Tamworth at the Kent Farm, evidently they have enough resolution to shoot Jupiter and the Kent farm at the same time but he's not happy with all of the extra time that its going to take to process high definition digital video. Brian and the crew discuss shooting digitally using the Genesis camera and we get our first glimpses at actual footage from the film!
CaveBear Blog: February 2005 Archives: And if we measure the competence of the ITU and ICANN bureaucracies we findthat the ITU is a well oiled machine while ICANN sputters and smokes like a veryold and tired automobile. In addition, the ITU's bureaucracy seems to stayfocused on the tasks set before it - the interoperation of the telephonenetworks - without getting too deeply enmeshed in social or economicengineering. ICANN, on the other hand, has effectively abrogated any rolein the technical operation of the DNS or IP address allocation systems, leavingthose essential tasks to virtually independent bodies. And at the sametime ICANN has enthroned itself as the source of supranational policies thatdictate trademark-domain-name policy that is law in all but name, has imposed abusiness system of domain name systems that is not only anti-innovative but isalso highly consumer-unfriendly.

ElizabethSpiers.com: If you've come here looking for a smart, funny urban voice with wide-ranging interests and an intuitive understanding of the blog medium, you've come (temporarily) to the wrong place. I'm Rachel Sklar, invited by our charming hostess to practice my blogging skills in advance of assisting her at FishbowlNY. If you're wondering what I've done to earn this laurel, fear not: I'm an extremely professional journalist, very classy, and I write about only the most serious and pressing subjects. Prior to being a full-time freelance writer I was a lawyer who scorned the use of family connections to get ahead in my profession (evidently I was also not a very good lawyer, because a year and a half later I am still owed $1100 for this fucking article).
